The role is primarily responsible for providing day-to-day operational support as part of Western Union’s HR Department.



Requires a professional with a strong understanding of Peruvian social welfare system and will provide direct support to individuals. Assists with Human Resource policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee handbooks, communications, and/or meetings. Works on a variety of routine tasks in accordance with standard procedures. Basic human resources knowledge.

Role Responsibilities

- Assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of social work programs and projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Peruvian social welfare policies.
- Conduct needs assessments and social analysis to identify key issues.
- Provide intervention when needed and support to individuals
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records.
- Conduct research on social issues relevant to the organization’s work in Peru.
- Raise awareness of social issues through education and outreach activities.

Role Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in social work is needed.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in social work or related field, in Peru.
- Strong understanding of Peruvian social welfare systems, policies and laws.




- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Advanced English is required.
